Screening of ANIMA OVERDRIVE by Stefan Panhans & Andrea Winkler

»I deliver eggplants. I deliver liver. I deliver liveliness and perfect selfie light«: In the video ANIMA OVERDRIVE by Stefan Panhans & Andrea Winkler, a person raps a series of material and non-material goods that they promise to deliver in an increasingly fast rhythm. Whether apples or fantasies: everything seems to be orderable, deliverable and consumable at any time. But at what price for a society whose economic system turns almost everything into goods that can be delivered at the click of a mouse? Panhans & Winkler address the state of impending exhaustion of the “anima” (soul) due to excessive stress (overdrive).

On this evening we will be showing ANIMA OVERDRIVE (in English with separate subtitles) on various monitors on the 12th floor of the Post Tower in Bonn, the headquarters of the logistics group Deutsche Post. Stefan Panhans & Andrea Winkler will be present on the evening.

SCENOGRAPHY – PERFORMATIVE SPACE: WORKSHOP WITH RUTH LORENZ
Kunstmuseum Bonn
Workshop

Scenography – turns themes, people and spaces into performers.

But what is good scenography? How does scenography work? What does it take for us to immerse ourselves in a story told in space? And to experience it cognitively, physically and sensually?

In the Scenography – Performative Space workshop, we will address these questions in the exhibition scenography of the Videonale. It is our trigger for exploration. We explore the world of video art culturally and sensually. We take a close look at art and architecture in a spatially constructive way: through drawing, photography and sculpture.

The starting point is VALIE EXPORT's work Syntagma, the spark of the scenographic concept. We question body and space and engage in cross-media spatial experiments with the created material. Raum, Körper, Raumkörper is a relationship experiment that sensually explores spatial experience with our bodies in the exhibition body.

The workshop is open to all students who wish to expand their media skills in scenographic space. Language: ger/en

Registration via: Fabienne Bonus, bonus@videonale.org

Ruth Lorenz is an architect, interior designer and exhibition designer. With her studio maaskant she realizes scenographies for national and international museums and cultural institutions such as stedelijk museum Amsterdam, ZKM Karlsruhe, HMKV Dortmund. She teaches exhibition design, including as a visiting professor at the Detmolder Schule.
