Accessibility

The VIDEONALE in short:

  • The festival will take place from 11 April to 18 May, 2025.
  • There will be 20 videos and installations featured in a special exhibition presentation at the Kunstmuseum Bonn.
  • Very close to the museum, you will find our exhibition site, Zentrifuge.
  • Five other permanent exhibition sites can be found at special locations in Bonn's old town and city center.
  • During nine guided tours and city walks, you can visit the exhibition sites with us.
  • Alternatively, you can use the Videonale city map to explore the exhibition sites on your own.
  • During the Easter holidays, we will show a children's short film program in the exhibition at the Kunstmuseum.
  • Pop-up satellites, Sundays at the museum, Videonale youngsters: You can experience video art in numerous different formats.
  • On the opening days, you can meet the artists in person.
  • Many events are free of charge.
  • You can find the complete program in German and English here in the calendar.
  • All events at the Kunstmuseum Bonn are wheelchair accessible, including wheelchair-accessible restrooms.

  • There are parking spaces for people with disabilities at the back of the Kunstmuseum Bonn (Emil-Nolde-Straße).

  • The works of the Videonale have been provided with German subtitles.

  • The public Sunday exhibition tours (2:30 pm) on 13.04., 27.04., 4.05., 11.05. and 18.05. will be acoustically amplified by headphones and alternatively by neckloops. There is a contingent of 5 neck ring loops available. Please get in touch if you would like to reserve a neckloop in advance: Annette Ziegert, ziegert@videonale.org.

  • Most of the video artworks in the exhibition at the Kunstmuseum are equipped with large headphones that can be worn over the hearing aid. For the children's short film program, we work with large wireless headphones that can be worn over the hearing aid.

  • You can use your own headphones (with jack plug) in the Videonale exhibition. You can also borrow headphones on site, which are cleaned regularly.

  • There is the possibility for rest and retreat.

  • Trigger warnings will be displayed.

  • All exhibition stations in the city

  • All pop-up satellites (except Post Tower)

  • Children's short film program and exhibition VIDEONALE.20 at Kunstmuseum Bonn: for children and young people up to 18 years of age
