Transporter an der Kreuzkirche / am Kirchenpavillon

The square in front of the Kreuzkirche and the church pavilion is called X-traplatz to provide extra space for special events in the shadow of the church and the pavilion. The Kreuzkirche has been the church of the Kreuzkirche congregation in the heart of Bonn since 1871. It is the largest church in Bonn and the largest Protestant church in the Rhineland, attracting people from all over the region with its events. The church pavilion is a bistro open to all, run by the Protestant Church in Bonn. The church pavillon was opened in Bonn's Friedensplatz in 1980 and is the oldest city church facility in Germany. Since 2014, it has been located in front of the Kreuzkirche church on Kaiserplatz.

Artists

In Anima Overdrive, a performer in a battered quarterback outfit raps about the overwhelming cycle of delivery, from physical goods to abstract concepts. Referencing Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters, the piece explores burnout, commodification, and the physical toll of constant consumption and labor.
